FINANCIAL FREEDOM IN THE LIVES OF MEN
A man has financial freedom when he is at liberty to spend money any how he likes. A man also can be seen as having financial freedom when he has no restriction on what and when he can spend money. It is the dream and desire of every man to be financially free, but unfortunately that is not the case. Why then do some men have financial problems?
• Every man that has more expenditure than his income must have financial problem.
• Men expose themselves to financial problems when they rob God of tithe and offering.
• When you fail to honour pledges you made, you are inviting financial problems to yourself.
• Stinginess is another thing that makes men to have financial problems. When you don’t give, tell me how you will increase.
• Disobedience to divine direction. Most men don’t seek the face of God before investing in any business or building a career in any area. This is invitation to financial mess.
• Demonic activities also lead to financial mess. There are principalities and powers that don’t want men to prosper. If you are not a strong Christian, you will be at the mercy of these demons and they will not want you to prosper.
• Greed: Greedy men don’t increase. Greed is one thing that destroys men especially financially. Especially when you do business with any one do not be greedy when the money comes as you will end up shooting yourself on the leg. Greed destroys ones financial freedom.
• When you are not at peace with your wife. The bible says he who finds a wife finds good thing and obtains mercy and favour from God. It is the mercy and favour of God that you need to be financially free. If your wife is not happy with you, her bitterness will block your heaven.
• Sin and immoralities block Gods ears from listening and hearing your prayers. How will you prosper and gain financial freedom when God does not listen to your prayers?
Aside from the favour and mercy of God, there are three major things that determine man’s financial freedom. These are:
1. What you spend: If you must be financially free, you must be careful how you spend. If you are not in control of your spending, even when you have the mercy, grace and favour of God, it will be hard for you to have financial freedom.
2. What you sow and invest: Your sowing and investments will determine how your finances will increase and multiply. The more you sow and invest wisely, the more financially free you become.
3. What you save: If you must have financial freedom, you must learn to save.
HOW CAN YOU GUARANTEE FINANCIAL FREEDOM:?
Note that prosperity is not by power or force, it is by the grace and favour of God. To guarantee your financial freedom, you must do the following;
• First of all find out why you are having financial problem. Face it, fight it, and solve it ones and for all.
• Your beginning or the way you are now does not matter, if you trust in God and do His will you will end in greatness. Job chapter 8 vs. 7 says “And though you started with little, you will end with much”.
• Take concrete and necessary actions towards reversing your financial problems. You need to plan and budget your income and expenditures.
• Be a tither, and always sow seed regularly especially to the needy around you and in the things of God. Remember, if you don’t sow, you will not reap. A car that is not working has not need for refueling.
• Save and invest wisely. Always learn to take calculated risks in all things especially those that have to do with money.
• Obedience, Trust and belief in God. Job chapter 36 vs. 11 says “If they listen and obey God, then they will be blessed with prosperity throughout their lives. All their years will be pleasant”.
• Don’t be stingy. Proverbs 11 vs. 24 says “it is possible to give freely and become wealthier, but those who are stingy will lose everything”.
We have heard the truth, the decision is ours. If you want financial freedom, do the will of God and you shall be blessed.
